A Weird and Wonderful Wedding

A bride to be commissioned grish art to produce a 'sculptural wedding bouquet'.

Moving away from the 'throw away' of the usual wedding accessories, grish art created a bouquet from sculpted wood profiles and white silk with corseted handle in line with the bride's dress on the day.

Pictured below, the original design inspiration came from current artwork our artist is producing using hard, aggressive forms against the soft, feminine exterior skin.

The ceremony took place in the theatrical Opera House in Bournemouth. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

SYA ask, 'What Can You Do?'

Solent Youth Action asked grish art to create promotional material for the 'What Can I Do?' event, aimed at providing 11-25 year olds in Eastleigh with 'something' to do.

Young adults and older teenagers being bored, hanging around without anything constructive to do can only lead to one thing and this event was aimed at motivating these young people to get involved in projects run by SYA and other local community groups.

Tapping into that notion of 'hanging around' and waiting for something to happen, grish art produced the following for the front of the design.

We then portrayed the effect this event had on these young people on the reverse, a true call to action. With live bands and activities it was a great success and has led to more young people moving into volunteering projects.
